Mr. Chalukian- I have been a teacher and AVID Coordinator in MVUSD for more than 15 years. As a student, I attended multiple schools within the district and graduated from Valley View High School. From there, I attended RCC and graduated from CSUSB where I majored in History with an emphasis on teaching. I believe in public education and think it is a foundation of our democratic society.
One of my goals is for students to become critical thinkers. It is my expectation that in learning to evaluate information critically they will in turn make well reasoned decisions and solve problems. I expect a lot from my students and hold them to a high academic standard while offering support so they can meet that standard and be successful. The most important part is for students and parents to communicate with me and make time for additional help. Below are my class expectations and policies, note taking materials, and writing assignment supports. There are also informational videos the left column.
