Moreno Valley Online Academy

Principal's Message

It is an honor to be a part of the Bridges Learning Center community, in the Moreno Valley Unified School District, as an educator, and alumni of Moreno Valley High School, Class of 1990.  Bridges Learning Center is a place where students succeed at the highest of levels and pursue their dreams post-high school.  A school site that is a hidden gem of the district, where we provide high quality academic rigor, career opportunities and a small school environment allowing for student achievement of all levels within our three schools.  These programs consist of Bayside Community Day School, Moreno Valley Charter Learning Center, and Moreno Valley Online Academy.  All of which provide students with alternative educational options.

I am a proud product of Moreno Valley Unified School District.  A graduate of Moreno Valley High School, whose wife also graduated within Moreno Valley Unified School District, and after 26 years of marriage I am happy to introduce my beautiful son Justyn, and most amazing daughter Jaelyn to the families of Bridges Learning Center.  I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Riverside, and two Master’s Degrees from California State University, San Bernardino.

My educational career began in the fall of 1997 as a teacher at Moreno Valley High School, working with students in multiple subject areas.  Upon receiving my Master’s Degree in Educational Guidance and Counseling, I began my tenure as a counselor.  Working with students in high school allowed me to gain an understanding of post-high school life and expectations.  More recently, I transitioned into administration where I now am at a school site with various educational pathways to help assist and guide our young students with their future endeavors.

School mantra “PRIDE”

Passion for Learning + Respect + Integrity in all Things + Dedication to Growth = Excellence in Everything

PRIDE is embedded in everything we are about.  Building a culture of respect, family, and integrity is essential to post-high school success.  As a Gold PBIS (Positive Behavior, Interventions, and Supports) school, we lead by example what we expect students to achieve.  It is in students that we have faith, with the right support and care, ALL students will be successful!!  It is my honor to work with your students each and every day.
