Principal's Message

Welcome parents, guardians, and students to Bridges Learning Center, home of the Titans and Moreno Valley Online Academy!

My name is Amanda Deniston and I am the proud principal of Bayside Community Day School and Moreno Valley Online Academy. I began my educational journey 22 years ago in Moreno Valley as a teacher. I have worked in two other districts, but came home  to Moreno Valley Unified in 2014.

I hope this message finds you and your family in good health. As a team of educators, school staff, students, and parents, our mutual collaboration for student success is imperative for a successful future.

As we continue the school year, our focus will continue to be on high quality, rigorous education that allows ALL students the opportunity to align themselves with the goals we have set at BLC, which follows the mission statement of the Moreno Valley Unified School District where “ALL students graduate high school prepared to successfully enter into higher education and/or pursue a viable career path.”

Our commitment is to the safety of our students and staff, while also incorporating a rigorous program to allow ALL students an opportunity to grow academically and further their education into the next grade, or access to post-high success.

PRIDE is embedded in everything we have done at BLC, and continue to do. Building a culture of respect, family, and integrity is essential to post-high school success. As a Gold PBIS (Positive Behavior, Interventions, and Supports) school, we lead by example of what we expect students to achieve.  With the right support and care, ALL students will be successful!!  It is our honor to work with your students each and every day.

During this unprecedented time, we want to make sure that you remain well-informed and that you understand our efforts to maintain a continuity of learning for students, therefore, we would like to express our well wishes to you and your family during the 21-22 school year. We are fortunate to live in a strong and caring community. With every set back there is a come-back.
